Tips from Your Web Designer
get The Web Design You're really looking
for
The first step toward success with your new website is open
communication with your website designer. At
Flying Change Webs & Graphics, I like to meet with my clients so I can
get a feel for their personality, their expectations, and a better
understanding of their small business.
Some important information I'd gather at this first meeting might be:
- What is the goal of your website? If you own an ice cream shop,
your goal may be to draw people into the shop. If you are a fitness
instructor, you may want to provide health, exercise, and nutrition
tips.
- Who is the target audience for your website? If you are
providing a professional service (like web design), then you’d
be targeting business owners. If you are a pet supply company, your
audience is likely to be families.
- Do you have example websites you like? Spend time surfing for
websites that draw you and/or provide a design and layout you can
easily follow.
- What personality do you want to project within your website? If
your small business is to train, board, and sell horses, you might
want to incorporate earth tones into the web design. If you sell
electronic gadgets, you might want a web design that is more
dynamic and modern to attract younger adults.
- What is your budget? Are you looking for a simple presence on
the web or is your web design going to entail five, ten or,
perhaps, even more pages? Maybe all you need is a home page, web
page that highlights your services, and contact information. Perhaps
you are looking to go with a totally unique web design that has
graphics, articles, links, and loads of details. Each website is as
individual as it's owner.
- Have you made a list of keywords?
Keywords are the typical words that visitors might type in to find
your website when they use search engines. It's very important to
have a list of keywords ready when begin your web design.
If you've answered these questions, then
contact Flying Change Webs & Graphics for your FREE ESTIMATE. I
want to make this a smooth, unbroken change of stride for your small
business - after all, that is the definition of a "FLYING CHANGE".
