Printing, Publishing, and Website Design: Although I established Flying Change Webs & Graphics when I returned to Maine in 2007, I have been involved in website design, visual graphics, printing, and publishing for over 20 years.
Photography & Typesetting: Shortly after graduating from New England School of Photography in Boston, MA, I realized that photojournalism was not a career for woman raising a family. Instead, I took a job as a traditional typesetter. Back in those “dinosaur ages of computers”, typesetting was performed much like website HTML coding is done today—they are amazingly similar.
Printing, Graphic Design & Publishing: As electronic publishing made its debut, I began creating corporate instruction manuals, then made the move to graphic design and printing. I managed print production for advertising agencies, tradeshows, and have been involved with just about every aspect of the publishing world.
International & Non-Profit Web Design: In 2000, while living in London, England, I began building websites for international non-profit organizations. Settling back in Maine has now offered me the opportunity to offer website design services to other small businesses as well. I have always had an eye for detail, a passion for creativity, and the desire to help others.
I pride myself as a native Maine-iac (born right here in Portland, Maine) and have finally come back home to Maine with my husband Bill and our two children, Emily and Matt.
Business Management and Creative Design: I started working with Debbie and Flying Change Webs & Graphics in 2010, and we decided to form a partnership in 2011 in order to expand our services to clients.
I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in Business Management. After managing restaurants for 9 years, I found it to be incompatible with motherhood. So I stayed at home and let the creative juices flow into all kinds of projects from sewing and scrapbooking, to home remodeling and web design.
Personal Web Design: I began designing websites for fun. I found that everyone needs an internet presence: whether you're planning an event, selling your goods, or simply sharing your interests, it's important for people to have constant access to consistent information.
I'm a native of the west, born in Montana, and schooled in Arizona. I moved to Maine in 2007 with my husband Andy, and our kids Alex and Amanda. We love living near the ocean and the Red Sox.
